When we watched the movie the second time we were supposed to write a paragraph on how the sound effects the main character. This was what I wrote:
In the beginning of the movie Hanna we can hear the protagonist being trapped in some kind of prison, we can tell that by the sounds of the heavy prison door being locked behind her. The next thing that I looked at was when the protagonist was crying to the antagonist which signified that all hope was lost for her. As the huge heavy prison doors were being spun open there was a
up-beat non-diegetic sound building up which signified that the protagonist will do something that involves her to react to the current situation. As the up-beat music stopes there is a pause of silence which is then transitioned by a neck snapping from the protagonist to the antagonist. Then she starts her epic chase where it is the protagonist vs. the antagonist.
